Hello! My name is Precious Richards, and I am a passionate storyteller from Brooklyn, New York. From a very young age, I have been fascinated with media and music. Media allows me to express myself in ways I have never been able to verbalize. After I learned what a camera was, things took off from there. As an adolescent, I created YouTube videos where I would talk about anything. I would edit and publish them, and I knew then that this was something I found genuine joy in. I loved the process of storyboarding, filming, editing, and publishing.

Upon entering college, I knew Media and Communications was the field for me. I enjoyed learning even more than I already knew and being around creatives who had common goals. Between you and me, video production is my favorite. There are so many ways you can create compelling stories with people and make genuine connections.

Marketing snuck up on me in my junior year of college. I started my own crocheting business and was promoting my creations on Instagram and TikTok. I had so much fun doing it that I knew I had to add it to my major. So, I minored in Digital Design Marketing, where I got to learn marketing in a whole other realm. I got to understand consumers, marketing strategies, and above all, used what I learned to obtain a social media marketing internship at my school, which turned into a full-time job after graduating.

Music is like air to me. I need it to survive. I listen to every genre under the sun (yes, country and heavy metal too). Music can encourage any emotion you're feeling. Whether it's happy, sad, or depressed, whatever you play will not only amplify that emotion but also comfort it. Music is a big part of my life, and I cannot in good conscience write this bio without mentioning it.

I am extremely lucky to have such a passion for media and marketing. I cannot wait to see where life takes me. Thank you for reading.
